Inverlochy Figurehead

Built in Glasgow in 1895, the barque ‘Inverlochy’ met the fate of hundreds of shops along this coast. Shipwrecked at Anglesea on the 8th December 1902, the figurehead was saved and mounted on a flagpole until its disappearance in the 1950s. Local artist Mark Trinham carved a dead cypress tree in 2001/02 to resemble the Inverlochy Figurehead.
