A Last Word on Australia…

January 13, 2015February 5, 2017 / Jane / 2 Comments

The plane climbs through the sky... The last of nine plane journeys Β in the last month... Out of my window I see a full moon in the sky. Watch the meandering route of lights below. Veering to the right, the plane turns, Scotland bound... Finally heading home after a very busy six weeks, granted a … Continue reading A Last Word on Australia…

The Beginning of the End…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIO7EgLoKiI My Georgetown song! πŸ™‚ It is now though bye bye Georgetown and hello road trip!!! :-). It is most wonderful to be reacquainted! πŸ™‚ My time in Georgetown has been interesting. As has listening to the preconception of the 'backpacker' here... After a … Continue reading Exploring the Savannah Way

From green to brown to dust to outback Queensland, it's a really weird feeling to describe how the outback makes you feel... I like it. A lot. Free and expansive, away from the hustle and bustle, the noise … Continue reading Venturing onto Outback Queensland

Cairns is a very easy city to navigate. The esplanade curling round the water's edge, the main Street leads perpendicularly down. Similar to Darwin it has a lagoon at the water's edge. High 20s with a wind, it is beautifully warm without feeling hot. We've done well exploring the area. I got to play with … Continue reading Cairns and Tropical Queensland

Have You Been to Granny’s Farm?

March 6, 2014June 5, 2014 / Jane / Leave a comment

I got back in the car after my yoga class. I had had a bit of a stressful morning. I looked at Ben and asked him if I seemed calm. He got very confused by this question and thought I had asked 'am I Pam' or 'am I ham...' Crazy Belgians ;-). He told me … Continue reading Have You Been to Granny’s Farm?
