A txt from a friend reminded me that the BAFTA results were out. Shocking that a movie buff should forget, I felt I should go see another movie. Missing it when it was out in the UK I decided to go see Searching for Sugar Man . Settling down into it pretty quickly I enjoyed learning about Sixto Rodriguez, a Detroit folksinger in the 1970s, not popular in America, a hero in South Africa. Having been bothered by a song that was playing on the radio since kangaroo island, I was surprised to find that 'I wonder' was one of his songs! How weird. A tale well told, with a heart warming ending – I fairly enjoyed it. The music also very good, I may even buy the soundtrack.
